Medusoid is Madouk's most advanced Insectroid, and she is dubbed "Queen Insectroid" for this reason. Built to defend Ataraxia, as well as for interplanetary scouting, she's Madouk’s magnum opus - that is, she was... until she found a love for destruction. What were meant to be self-defense weapons quickly became her favorite toys, turning even routine missions into target practice.

As punishment, she's assigned as what's basically a babysitter to Hiro and Avio on their scavenging missions. Her job is to wrangle them (mainly Avio) if things go awry, and though it's highly frustrating more often than not, she does quietly enjoy being the smartest one out of the three. In her offtime, she roams Ataraxia, scanning for intruders, collecting various things for Madouk - and sometimes herself - always followed by a swarm of Gruboids.

Personality

Medusoid is just downright menacing... She speaks only when necessary, and when she does, it’s usually some dry sarcasm or a cold insult. Often she's silent due to disinterest in whatever conversation may be happening, but other times, she stays quiet to purposely put tension in the air. She enjoys watching people squirm under her unblinking stare, and knows how to subtlely manipulate someone into giving her what she wants - but whenever her tactics do fail (or take too long), she’s happy to switch to brute-forced, logicless destruction.

If she has a specific target in this sort of situation, she’ll chase them relentlessly until they’re taken care of, even if it means risking damage to herself, others, or anything in her path...

She has zero patience for organic beings, finding them inefficient and irritating. She makes sure they know exactly how ridiculous they are, stripping people down to their weakest point before she decides whether they’re even worth her time. The sole exception for this is Madouk. She’s the only one Medusoid truly tolerates, and maybe even… cares for... though she wouldn’t say that to anyone but her. There seems to be some odd form of care that Medusoid does harbor, though it's rarely, if ever, witnessed - and if one mentions it, she immediately switches back to hostility.

Medusoid is basically a Gruboid, just scaled up 5x and loaded with fancy upgrades, plus an arguably excessive number of limbs. Her yellow accents glow brightly in the dark, and her massive eyes have a way of staring straight through whatever - or whoever - she’s looking at. Her silver and white metal plating has a sleek brushed finish, and her face plates also manage to form a permanent frown - an intentional design choice by Madouk, perhaps for purposes of intimidation, or maybe just cause it looks a little funny... OR maybe because it just aligns with her lower antennae. You be the judge.

She can perform all the standard Insectroid functions: taking snapshots with her eyes, night vision, clinging to walls and ceilings with vacuum suction, and communicating in a robotic language through the Insectroid radio frequency.

Beyond that, though, she has her own exclusive abilities: highly-accurate laser blasters in her head arms for self defense or cutting, and of course, having 4 extra limbs at her disposal. She has wider area scanning, infrared vision - mainly for detecting living creatures, if needed - and the ability to hear radio frequencies outside the Insectroid one. And finally, she has a grappling hook at her rear, letting her hang like a spider.
