Last Kind Standing
"I fail to understand your impudent antics."

Medusoid is Madouk's most advanced Insectroid, and she is dubbed "Queen Insectroid" for this reason. Built for spying and interplanetary scouting, she was once Madouk’s top unit - that is, until she discovered a love for destruction. What were once her self-defense weapons quickly became her favorite toys - whether aimed at inanimate objects, obstacles, or, regrettably, people - turning even routine missions into target practice.

Now, as punishment, she's been assigned as, basically, a babysitter to Hiro and Avio on their scavenging missions. Her job is to wrangle their chaos, and though it's highly frustrating more often than not, she still quietly enjoys being the smartest one in the room. In her offtime, she roams Ataraxia collecting various things for Madouk, always followed by a swarm of other Insectroids.

Personality

Medusoid is just downright menacing. She speaks only when necessary, and when she does, it’s usually some dry sarcasm or a cold insult. Often she's silent due to disinterest, but other times, she stays quiet to purposely put tension in the air. She enjoys watching people squirm under her unblinking stare, and knows how to subtlely manipulate someone into giving her what she wants - but whenever her tactics do fail (or take too long), she’s happy to switch to brute-forced, logicless destruction.

If she's angered enough, she may just enter a rage-fueled episode of devastation. If she has a specific target in this sort of situation, she’ll chase them relentlessly until they’re taken care of, even if it means risking damage to herself, others, or anything in her path... Thankfully, it's kind of hard to anger her THIS badly.

She has zero patience for organic beings, finding them inefficient and irritating. She makes sure they know exactly how ridiculous they are, and her insults cut deep, stripping people down to their weakest point before she decides whether they’re even worth her time. The sole exception for this is Madouk. She’s the only one Medusoid truly tolerates, and maybe even… cares for... though she wouldn’t say that to anyone but her.

Appearance

Medusoid is basically a standard Insectroid, just scaled up 10x and loaded with fancy upgrades and an arguably excessive number of limbs. Her silver and white metal plating has a sleek brushed finish, and her yellow accents glow brightly in the dark. Her massive eyes have a way of staring straight through whatever - or whoever - she’s looking at. In Earthly terms, you could say she’s built like a centauroid queen ant with freaky head arms. Her face plates also manage to form a permanent frown - an intentional design choice by Madouk, perhaps for purposes of intimidation, or maybe just cause it looks a little cute... OR maybe because it just aligns with her lower antennae. You be the judge.

Trivia

  • Despite her destructive tendencies, she likes her surroundings to be orderly. If things are chaotic, it should be her chaos, not random clutter.
  • She will absolutely pretend not to hear someone if she doesn’t want to respond, and she will make sure they know she ignored them on purpose.
  • She views Madouk as some sort of creator-mother figure, in her own strange, robotic way... And she also has some confusing feelings about her, as well. The closeness they share is just hard for an android mind to comprehend, I guess.
  • She is aware that Hiro is afraid of her, and enjoys going the extra mile to creep them out. It's funny to her.
